#2 Chef Mong’s Boneless Lechon

Boneless Lechon!!! Yummmmm!

Chef Mong’s Boneless Lechon is officially one of Metro Events Zone’s first!

Chef Mong is a businessman and a chef by heart. His passion for cooking originated from a family line of great cooks. One of his delicious dishes is his signature “Boneless Lechon”. He perfected this savory, crispy dish as he makes them every family gathering, and it would always be the much awaited treat during special occasions. Also a businessman, he eventually dove into the food industry.  Since then on, Chef Mong’s Boneless Lechon expanded as he opened his business for franchise. Currently, there is a dine-in branch in Kalibo and Batangas, and by-order basis in Cagayan De Oro. Aside from these locations, Chef Mong's Boneless Lechon is now mobile as well! We can now have the tastiest lechon on our reach!

You may say that all lechons taste the same but I tell you, cooked uniquely, Chef Mong’s Boneless Lechon is the most succulent! I dare you to try them out at Metro Events Zone and find out for yourself what you have been missing.

To know more about Chef Mong, you can visit at the Metro Events Zone and check out their Facebook Page.

#1 Brand X Burgers - BXBUS #1

A fast growing burger joint is now mobile!

That’s right folks! Brand X Burgers now has a foodtruck that roams around town. And guess where they will official park? At the Metro Events Zone!

Brand X Burger started as a ‘cookout’, home-style grilling at a garage where friends and family meet and have fun. The uniqueness of the taste made a group of friends decide to start their own burger joint. In a span of 15 months, 4 more branches were put up, and they are now launching their first food truck, BXBUS #1.

If you have not tried their mouthwatering burgers, mark your calendars because they will definitely be at the Metro Events Zone, featuring their BXBUS #1.

“This time, Brand X Wins!”

To know more about Brand X Burgers, you can check their Facebook Page.

Eddie: Entrepreneur and DJ

by Betty Lipano

After series of trending news about Metro Events Zone,  I finally had the pleasure of catching up with one of its brains, Eddie.

Edgar “Eddie” Altuna Jr. worked in the corporate scene in Manila for about a decade. When he decided to move back to his home town, Batangas, he used this experience and applied it to his own life. During his stay here, he assisted in a number of growing companies and also invested in new ones, including Metro Events Zone. And as for the newest hip place that people are buzzing about, Eddie said “like Rome, Metro Events Zone was not built in a day. We had to do extensive research and series of presentations to have everybody on board.” And as the ball roll, people continue to join the bandwagon as they posts their comments and likes on their very first big event, DJ Showdown.

Speaking of DJ, who would have thought that this well rounded entrepreneur is also trending as a DJ? Yup, DJ Eddie does his DJ gigs in and out of town as well. For Batangas native, DJ Eddie said that music has always been a driving force in his life. So if you are looking for someone to play at your party and hoedown, DJ Eddie is your best bet! With spun tunes at countless  gigs and events, DJ Eddie has made a name for himself through his DJ sets and also travels around spreading his sound.

When I asked Eddie about his secret on his life’s success, he said “there are 5 things I carry to myself all the time: Know what you want and own it; Take time to connect with yourself; Be financially responsible; Challenge convention; and most importantly, have fun!”

And for Halloween, here’s an advance treat to all fans out there from DJ Eddie--his very first published mix. Click it and share it!

Sponsor - DJ Signed Up!

by Betty Lipano

The list of events for November and December at the Metro Events Zone has already been posted and sponsors are paving their way to sign up. Phil Ryan Paril a.k.a. DJ Vintrix was the first in line. When Metro Events Zone was still a concept, Phil was the very first to support the idea.

Aside from his DJ career and a producing music, Phil Ryan is also the owner of Vintrix Lights and Sounds. His passion for music  started way back in the 80s and 90s.  After the tragic Ozone incident, he laid low in the industry. However, his music career was never mundane. He started to get back on track on 2006 and even started DJing in the international scene. After several years, he decided to come back to the Philippines to start his own lights and sounds business as he freelances on music mixing.

Currently, Phil has been active in supporting all major events in and out of town. His business flourishes as DJs started to take the stage in music industry.

Aside from being one of Metro Events Zone’s major sponsor, rumor has it that he will also be a judge of the most awaited DJ Showdown in November.
